I seriously LOVE SWISS DAYS.. My family goes camping up at jordanelle the weekend of swiss days, so we get to kill two birds with one stone.. We get time at swiss days and the kids get to hang out with there cousins and play in the dirt:) The last 2 years have worked out kind of nicely, we have been able to leave the kids at camp with either grandma or some of the cousins which means mom and dad get to actually look around and enjoy the craft fair.. (Yep I said mom and DAD, he would never admit it to anyone else but Kaj actually likes crafty things:) But this year we decided mix things up a little bit, we decided to take ALL of the kids and then meet up with Lexi, Chad, Bailey and Braxton.. We couldn't go without mom so we stopped on our way up to pick up grandma from camp and uncle Wayne decided he wanted to come too, (which was nice because we could use the extra hands). We had 1 double stroller, one single stroller and one umbrella stroller and Ryker still had to walk.. Ask us how fun it was trying to get on and off the shuttle bus!!! By the time we got there we walked through 5 booths and the kids were pretty much done. Wayne had already made it through all of the booths (while we did our 5) so he offered to watch the kids while we walked through the rest of the isles.. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU WAYNE!!!!!! We were able to make it through all the booths in about an hour and that was taking our time.. It was SOO nice:O)
There were of course a ton of things that I wanted but at the end of the day I got a few necklaces and 2 camel apples!! Not just any camel apples these are the best apples on the face of the earth, I ate half of both of them myself. :) (one carmel and chocolate and the other carmel and toffee candies) DELISH!!!! They had TONS of cute little girl clothes, I don't know how I did it but I kept myself under control. I was going to buy her 1 outfit but the one I liked was sold out of her size, it was the most expensive set of course so I guess that's Lucky for our wallet and Unlucky for her wardrobe. :)
Briyler didnt know what to do when we first got there, he's never been to any kind of craft fair.. He was literally doing cartwheels in the pavilion.
Mom gave them a little snack to hold them over.. (we were there for a total of 3 min before they needed these... )
Dad bought scones for the kids, the only one that really liked it was Kynlie:) I don't know if she liked the scone or just her silly dad feeding her the scone.
Dugi and HIS daddy!
This is just moms portion of stuff, and I don't have any kids in this picture so it isn't entirely accurate... I was exhausted when we finished...
so that's why I GOT THESE!!! I don't know what I was doing with this face but as you can see from the missing piece of apple.. I could HARDLY wait to EAT THESE!!!
After we finished up at the fair we headed over to the campgrounds, Ryker and Briyler could hardly wait to get there scooters out:) They LOVE riding scooters with there cousins, they plaid cops and robbers ALL AFTERNOON... (with only a few breaks because of the thunderstorms.. It rained and rained and rained but luckily each time it only lasted for 15 - 20 min and then the kids were off to play in the mud puddles :) We decided not to stay the night because of the weather and Kaj and I wanted to be back to teach our primary class. (YEP you heard me we just got called to be PRIMARY TEACHERS!!! we have the 7 yr olds) The boys were really bummed that they didn't get to camp so we planned to head back up to the campground after the younger kids took there naps. The boys were ELATED and since that means "MOM aka ME" doesn't have to make dinner I was elated too:)
I am soo grateful to have the little kiddlets in my life. I don't know what I would do without each and every one of them. I cant think of a more rewarding job, or a higher compliment than being called MOM.. It's never really easy with the kids right now but its a good kind of hard and we wouldn't have things any other way:)
sorry in advance for all of the pictures:)
